Choosing between two acceptances

Post by AcidThinking » Wed Mar 20, 2013 2:54 pm

I am choosing between two acceptances, one from the University of Rochester, the other from Michigan State.

Both are quite strong in math, and I have to choose.

Any tips?

What are you interested in? For example, if you like topology, I would probably give the edge to Michigan State. Akbulut and Ivanov are both top mathematicians in the field.

In Rochester they have two extremely strong algebraic topologists: Frederick Cohen and Douglas Ravenel.

My field is Harmonic Analysis and each one of the two has an extremely strong harmonic analyst.
