To whoever this may be helpful to:
I've found a lot of success in emailing different programs to ask when decisions will be sent out. Though all of these have resulted in my finding out I've been rejected, at least I know for sure instead of waiting!

I reached out to Texas State University and they told me they're still reviewing documents and hope to make first round offers by March 8.

I believe I know someone who got into the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities REU the other day and will likely decline, if this helps anyone.

I'm still waiting on them. Is it a bad sign for getting no information from them? Should I regard myself being rejected?

I think they might be admitting project by project. The only way to be sure of a rejection before 3/31 is to contact them.

I haven’t read any of the posts on this thread, but here is an unsolicited advice: Don’t do suami at CMU if you’re international. Have a friend who did it, and it was a waste of her money.

I'm not international, but out of curiosity, why was it so bad?

I feel like someone on this thread somewhere mentioned San Bernardino?? I could be completely wrong lol this comment is useless.
I also applied to UConn, I haven't heard anything yet but I did email them today to ask when offers will be sent out.

I think this person is commenting on how if you are international you can still apply but you would have to fund it yourself (pay for the housing and the program costs). That could be quite expensive and it sounds like the program itself isn’t entirely focused on research, but also the grad school application process and learning about new topics.

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking it had something to do with it not being funded, but wasn't sure if there was something about the way the program is run that makes it in some way not as beneficial as others.

I agree with this! The directors are very willing to share any information they can if you just email. After I was accepted to Princeton's summer school, I sent out some emails because the deadline for committing to it was Feb. 25 which is, well, fairly early. I got a response from all the people I emailed, but not necessarily a decision. The closest thing I got was a "definite maybe" from Dr. May, but I was later accepted!
I've had a lot of questions about all this answered by just emailing; so if you have any questions/concerns about the program, want to inquire about decisions because you have an upcoming deadline, etc., just email!

Texas State (algebra, at least) sent out acceptances. 3 were chosen (including myself); I will be denying the offer.

Does anymore know much about the Georgia Tech REU? I know that I have to find my own housing and pay for my own airfare, but I think that the projects are one on one with your mentor? It seems structured a little different from other REUs from I saw on their website

I just emailed them earlier today and got the response saying that they are still actively recruiting people and decision will be out by 3/31 as said on the website.

Has anybody heard back from these programs?

California State University San Bernardino
Lafayette (website sounds like they'll be contacting a first round this week)
Clemson
CAD (Complexity Across Disciplines) at Boise State
SUMaR at Kansas State
Lamar University
Bethune-Cookman University

I'm getting anxious about needing to think more seriously about back up options for how to spend my summer.

It probably doesn’t help much, but I also applied to SUMaR and have not heard back yet. Don’t worry though! I know people who didn’t hear back from everywhere they applied to until the end of March. So you still have time!

CAD has been doing interviews/sending out offers. I believe they will continue doing this into next week.

Clemson is sending out offers (via their announcement on mathprograms.org).

To anyone asking about CSU San Bernardino, they tend to be pretty late on invitations. When I got in (not this year), the invitation came so late I figured I got rejected by the time it came.

If you want any more info you can pm me, I feel like I can say quite a bit about the program.

I also reached out to the others that I applied to, and was told Texas A&M, Emory, and Cornell are all full. I was told Oregon State is still selecting and would get back to me. I have not heard from ICERM.

No, haven't heard of anything individual from Clemson. I have given up on them, though. Their website updated in January (may have even been December) that they were currently in the process of selecting students, so I'm going to take a guess and say they have long been full (likely before the deadline).

I haven't seen or heard anything about Clemson either. However, their website does have a section where they list 2019 participants "as they accept" their offers, and there is no one listed there yet. I'm not sure if this is because no offers have been made, none have been accepted, or if they're waiting for all slots to be filled before updating the website. I did just email them to see if I get any info, so I'll update if/when I hear back!

Emailed Texas A&M University about the application status. They said they have made out first and second rounds of offers and the Committee is now waiting for responses. It is highly unlikely that they could make me an offer. SAD :(

ICERM is updating their website as they receive acceptances. Looks like they already have about 16 undergrad slots filled.

Has anyone heard from Lafayette yet? Their website update posted on the 5th says they're making first offers this week, but I haven't heard or seen anything. I have one program that needs to hear back from me today and I was hoping to have heard back from Lafayette by now... Should I email them or take it as a loss at this point?
