Hi,

Does anyone know a good book on Lie Algebra (including Modular Lie Algebra), aimed at the undergraduate level?

Thanks a lot!

The best book I know of for a really undergraduate-level presentation of Lie algebras is Erdmann and Wildon. It has a few pages on the modular case in the back, and specifically refers the reader to Jacobson, Strade and Farnsteiner, or Jantzen for further reading. From what I can see by flipping through a few pages, these latter books do not appear to be at an introductory, undergraduate level. Given that, it's probably worth familiarizing yourself with the characteristic zero case first and worrying about modular Lie algebras later.

thanks!

My school library has the book Introduction to Lie Algebras (Springer Undergraduate Mathematics Series) by Karin Erdmann, I will take a look at it.
