publication + bad GRE subject.

Post by sasha » Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:27 am

Hi.

I'm a 1st yr grad student at a university abroad. (Top 3 in my country)

I took the Oct 15. subject test for the first time, but it turns out I did not do so well ( 750 / 73% )

However, I do have a publication under review, likely to be accepted at a mid-ranking journal.
The coauthor is a pretty famous guy in the field, and I wrote this as an undergrad.

My question is:
Do you think this GRE score will keep my out of places like Brown, Cornell or UW applied math?
Or should I just not report the scores?

Which will be worse? no scores or low scores?

Thanks.

Thanks for giving me some hope.
I understand they might be more unforgiving to a student from overseas.

Do you think it's a bad idea to simply NOT send the score?
