2 general questions

Hi all,

I took my GRE Math subject today. May I ask two questions:

1) When will the results be out?

2) Is it ok for me to apply to schools one year before I graduate? I am an international applicant.

Thank you very much in advance.

I just looked this up now since I also took the test today. According to http://www.ets.org/gre/subject/scores/get, we can get scores by phone on November 14th and they should be online/received by mail by November 25th.

If your hope is to apply a year before you graduate and then defer entering graduate school by a year after being accepted (so you have time to graduate from undergrad), what I have heard is that very few schools will accommodate this - they would have to hold your funding for a year to do that, and most would rather fund another grad student who can come this year instead. If you mean leaving undergrad a year early, then I know nothing about that (but most schools say that you must have a Bachelor's degree to even apply from what I've seen).

Thank you very much!

How about the following scenerio:

I apply in September 2012, knowing that I will graduate in June 2013, for admission to grad school in 2013 Fall.

Is the above scenario possible?

In U.S. do students usually apply for grad school before or after they graduate? or in their last year?

Thank you very much, and wishing everyone all the best in their mathematical studies.

Yes, that's the typical application strategy of students who want to go straight from college to graduate school.
