Looking for schools to apply

Hi folks,

I am still looking for math graduate schools to apply. Here is my status, and list of places that I am considering to apply.

Undergrad Institution: Big state. Math dept is somewhat good, but not excellent.
Major(s): Mathematics
Minor(s): N/A
GPA: 3.75 (Both my math and overall GPA are around there)
Position in Class: No idea
Type of Student: Domestic

GRE Scores:
Q: 770 (87%)
V: 410 (38%)
W: 3.5 (26%)
M: 710 (65%)

Program Applying: Pure math

Research Experience: Writing honors thesis this year. Nothing unusual
Pertinent Activities or Jobs: A TA for a lower-division math course, math tutor, homework grader for some upper division math courses (e.g. abstract algebra, dynamical systems)
Any Miscellaneous Points that Might Help: I won one departmental scholarship for being a most promising math student last school year (don't ask me why), and one scholarship from my university from College of Arts and Science (which was awarded for about 10 other science/math students, both undergrads and grads). I am also in my school's Honors program (not really math related, though).
Any Other Info That Shows Up On Your App and Might Matter: None.

(Thinking of) Applying to Where:
Wisconsin (Madison)
Penn State
Indiana U
U Washington
UNC Chapel Hill
UMass Amherst
Arizona
NC State
Missouri
???
???
???

I left three open spots because I am thinking of applying to maximum of 12 schools. I am thinking NC State and Missouri are my safety, but am I overestimating my profile?

I also don't really have a specific field that I am interested in learning yet. I am somehow interested in analysis, probability, and possibly topology (I am taking it right now), but I am not sure if I would be still interested in these areas a few years from now. Nevertheless, it might be a good idea to consider schools that are solid in these areas.

Thanks!

I don't think you are overestimating your profile. You have some good awards and did other things related to maths, which is very important.

Good luck!

Thanks, lpt234!

I have been talking to a few professors about this, and they all seemed positive about my list so far. I edited it a little bit, but I think this is close to the final draft...
