Hi,

Can you please tell me which books are the best for the math subject GRE? I'm thinking of ordering from Amazon this week and hopefully start preparation asap. I would also really appreciate some guidance reg. my other posts.

Thanks in advance,
Ashwin

My advice (though I have not taken the test yet) would be:
A Survey of Modern Algebra by Birkhoff/Mac Lane (gives you some good algebra + linear algebra)
Integral and Differentiable Calculus Vol. I-II by Richard Courant
Principles of Mathematical Analysis by Walter Rudin

From what I know of the test, it seems studying these three would very nicely prepare you for it.
