Boston is definitely strong in dynamical systems, and it does seem like they have a lot of people doing interesting computational stuff, although it seems like not as much is pure numerical analysis or scientific computing. I am leaning toward it over my other acceptance and planning to decide which to decline soon after visiting BU. Not yet sure what I would do if I get in at any of the places I am waitlisted though

Boston is an amazing city to experience as an international student because it's filled with diversity, job opportunities, American culture, history, and also very safe. You're a short walk from Harvard and MIT math departments and only a few hours away from other prestigious universities and big cities. If you're from a warm climate, bring lots of warm clothes as the Northeast gets very cold.
