Submitting a subject GRE score to programs that don't require it

Post by mooooo » Sun Nov 26, 2017 2:45 pm

Hi everyone,

Given that a lot of programs don't require submitting a subject GRE score, at what percentile does it become beneficial to do so? Would it hurt me if I submitted my 60th percentile score to these PhD programs that don't require the subject test?

The institutions that do expect at least a 700 are the ones that ask for your math GRE. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if you submitted your math GRE. That being said, submitting scores can add up in cost pretty quickly.
