How did you do it, guys?

In my opinion, this one was rather easy, but there was not enough time for me. I have marked 50 and I'm sure about them. I hope it'll be not bad.

I think the test was very heavy. I decided about 40 problems.

Guys, do you think the test was difficult?

I thought it was about similar to the practice test available online. I answered 43 but was pretty confident in almost all. For maybe 4 of those I had narrowed it down to 1 of 2 choices.

By the way, thanks to everybody who posts here as I haven't posted until today but have checked a number of times for help on certain questions I was hung up on. Good luck to everybody.

I also answered 43, but I felt the test was similar to the practice one. I felt confident about most of my answers, but I know there were a few where I was unsure. Hopefully it'll swing in my favor. Sadly, I don't think it'll be enough to get much more 60-70% percentile.

I thought this was slighty tougher then the practice test they mail you.

I answered 53, I feel confident about roughly 43 of those, guessed on about ten. Hopefully it goes well best of luck to everyone!

I just realized that such a website like this existed.
After the Math gre today I panicked a little because I didn't finish it so I went online to do a little research on GRE scores.
I found physicsgre.org which lead me here.

I answered 48 which I am fairly confident in but you can't always be too sure.
I just hope i get at least 80 percentile.

Was there any gre test in the past where you can get 80% or 90% just from 48 questions? I try to look at the math gre score percentile stats over the year but i can't find it.

Use the conversion charts from the sample tests. My results from the test in november were in line with it.

I think it would be something like this:

54 - 55 correct answers - 850 points
48 - 49 correct answers - 800 points
35 - 37 correct answers - 700 points

What do you think it looks like the truth?

According to the GRE 0568, a 55 was a 91%, a 46 was an 81%, 40 was a 71%, 35 was 61%, and so on. I'd imagine these numbers haven't changed much, as unless the test has become significantly harder or easier, the statistics should be about the same.

April 2009:
50 was 90%

But the difficulty level was the same as now.

Yikes if 50 was 90% last april maybe I should be feeling a little better right now :-)

Maybe the numbers near the top are different since 0568, but I got a 36 which converted to 690/63% on the nov test.

Yeah, I mean, the scores are based on the last couple years test takers correct? So unless there is a large amount of people scoring in certain ranges, or (in the most simple case) a large number of people doing very poorly or very well, major shifts in the scoring should not occur. If a 50 is a 90%, then that fairs well for those of us who just took the test. If this is true, and what the last poster said was true, then it seems a portion of the test probably became harder than it used to be, say 15% of the test questions, and caused a downward shift near the top, but not much movement in the middle or bottom. People who do poorly will do poorly, people who do average will do average, people who would do excellent are now doing a bit less than that? Maybe I'm wrong? We'll see what happens when scores are released in several weeks.
