Questions about Princeton Review.

Postby Peregrine » Sun Jun 18, 2017 8:11 pm

Hi.

I've finished my junior year at my university and am devoting this summer to studying heavily for the math GRE. I bought the fourth edition of Cracking the GRE Mathematics Subject Test by Princeton Review, and I noticed that (in my opinion) the example problems and the final practice test in that book have significantly harder questions than questions from actual practice GRE tests that I found online (like GR0568, 9367, 8767, and 9768).

Looking at solutions to problems in the Princeton Review, it seems like those questions have much lengthier solutions that don't seem too reasonable when you're pacing through 66 questions in 170 minutes.

Does anybody have any agreements/disagreements/follow-up statements on this? Would resources such as algebra and analysis textbooks be better than practice books and practice tests?

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
