Master's Programs Selectivity

Post by krpcannon » Thu Mar 16, 2017 12:23 pm

All,

As a Math & CS major, my coursework in math is far too limited to be competitive for PhDs, and my research experience is in theoretical computer science, so I am looking at Master's programs for now.

How much less selective are unfunded Master's programs, like at NYU or Upenn? Also, I would really value information regarding master's specifically in Europe, like at ETH. How selective are they? What are the main factors?

Thanks!
