Application for Pure Math at MIT: Subjects Taken

Post by SisyphusDilemma » Thu Dec 08, 2016 2:43 am

I noticed that MIT does not require uploading the transcripts for initial evaluation process, instead the courses taken and grades received are reported by ourselves. So my question is that, can I just report those courses with the highest grades and temporarily omit a few courses with lower grades?

If you get shortlisted or accepted, you have to send a transcript. Being up-front about those classes would probably go over better than trying to hide them.

Never omit something they ask for. I don't know the wording of the application form, but if are found to have lied on your application, it can be grounds for revoking admission, even if you have already been enrolled for some time.
