Does anyone know if Rutgers require official transcripts be sent by the program deadline (Jan 15)? Or just uploading unofficial transcripts is enough? I've emailed the math department, but in the mean time, I would like to hear if anyone came across this issue.

Hi mathblob,

I've been working under the assumption that we need only upload unofficial transcripts as supporting materials and that they will let us know if/when they need official documents if/when we are admitted.
Now that you mention it, though, this is not 100% clear on the site (the Rutgers admissions site implies that *some* programs do this, but the math program site is not specific on the matter).
I'd say this is something to look into further and that we should send an e-mail to admissions/the math grad director.
Let me know if you hear back from them first!

I just received an email from the graduate program coordinator. He said unofficial transcript uploads are fine. Upon being admitted and intending to attend, you will submit the official transcripts.
