Question about including something in CV

Last Summer as a Junior undergrad I applied to summer schools in geometry and analysis at U Chicago. I was accepted to both, with funding, but had to decline in favor of attending a different summer program. Is it a good idea to mention that I was accepted to these in my CV/ personal statement, or is this seen to be in poor taste?

See no reason to put a declined award/funding/offer in CV

It is common to put a declined grant or similar on a CV. Sometimes you are prevented from holding two awards at once, but you can still say that you were offered both. This is kind of different, but I don't think it would be wrong to include it. I also don't think it will carry much weight, though.

I think it's silly. If you're applying for a professor position, I'd put down what school I got my Ph.D. from, but not all the schools I got accepted to and could have earned my Ph.D. from.

Agree with your opinion. It does not seem of much reason to put an honour/grant/scholarship you have not accepted on your CV, the action which is not professional nor sincere ...

I think that this situation is a bit different because I was wondering if they can be viewed as awards or something, but I'm not going to put them on. Thanks for the input.
