Does anyone have experience with a terminal master's program (applied math)? I am particularly interested in how many publications you were able to produce during the two year period. It seems that one will be very busy with the course work and very little time for research.
Thanks

Re: Publishing while finishing a terminal master's program
I think you can. One way of publishing is to work on class projects and then publishing them in acceptable journals (Dont aim for high CI journals as their rejection style would only make you more frustrated than motivated). I did four projects+one final thesis. I got one published, one rejected while one accepted with changes. However, my tight schedule (working day+evening college) restricted my publication to just 1. However, I am intending to get my half cooked projects and Thesis published before applying for PhD.sabq wrote:Does anyone have experience with a terminal master's program (applied math)?
