Can you recommend which Graduate Schools I should apply to?

Hello all!
I've just joined this forum, and I am amazed how much useful information is around here about the GRE math subject test.
I was just wondering if anyone would evaluate my chances of getting into a program in Applied Mathematics at Institutions like:
University of Wisconsin, Madison; University of Washington; University of Colorado, Boulder?

Here's my profile:
Institution: Grinnell College
Major: Mathematics
Overall GPA: 3.58
Major GPA: 3.91
Advanced classes taken: Real, and Complex analysis, Abstract Algebra, Combinatorics, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, & Topology.
Summer Research ( I studied Iterated Functions Systems (IFS) used to generate fractals)
I've been a math tutor since my sophomore year.
I expect B+ level Recommendations.
I partied hard my first 3 semesters, and did well only in math classes (hence the low GPA)
I have not taken my GRE's. But I am studying hard for Math Gre Subject Test and expect at least a 60 percentile.

I also need recommendations of Applied Math graduate schools that I have realistic chances to get into.

Thank you in advance!

I would expect that you will get an admission w/funding from CMU and that Brown would be the hardest. It would not surprise me if NYU rejected you but extended admission to the MS program to help bring in funding.
The remainder seem reasonable reach schools, but are also competitive (caveat emptor these are also the ones I have the least info on and experience with).

JHU has an applied program...what are you interested in?

I am also a minority (if that information is necessary)

I hope that you don't mind with my comments :

Look at your profile, it does not have any special. The only thing I cannot say is letters of recommendation, unless you have very strong letters, the chances to get into CMU, NYU, Wis, Brown are less than 10%. Word of mouth says that one of the necessary conditions to have your application reviewed in CMU is your GRE math score must be >90%.
My friend who got 92% on GRE subject math applied for CMU but got rejected last year and he is now in Purdue
My suggestion is to apply for more schools, top 30 schools, you will have more chances to get in (If you are American, the chances are higher )

Actually, the above poster does have something unique (if my assumption is correct): that the poster is a natural citizen ,which you note.
Also, while not a large sample size and perhaps of different times, I know that the 90% for CMU is a "wee bit" on the high side.
I think they are bit more concerned with other things.
:)

Thanks, that helps a lot! I have reviewed my list and dropped Brown and CMU.
Do you think my list is still reasonable?
