Can someone explain #16 on math subject GRE 8767?

so where you do not understand? for me , if you read what is given carefully the answer B is obvious -

The way that i solved it was drawing a diagram showing projectile motion, i.e. a parabola pointing down with x intercepts at p and q. B is the only answer that will work because it states that there is a tangent line between p and g on the parabola that will be also parallel to the points p and q. In this case it is the max of the parabola.
