Post by goatman2743 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 6:30 pm

It says scores are posted online tomorrow - does anyone know around what time they'll be up?

My scores are on the website now. For me, the results are 95% and 97% on this years tests, up from 80% on my test a year ago.

Well, I'm done with the GRE now. Thanks for all your help, forum people.

:(

I scored an awful 540.

Sadly in my case I can't re-write the test. Testing has been suspended in my country (Nigeria) for an indefinite period. Welp!

Mine is 760. I was expecting 800-820 as I answered 60 and I knew I made around 6 mistakes.
I think that the question about second derivative of parametrized function did not have correct answer.
I may be wrong but I checked it again and again; and it sadly took a lot of my time

I got 800 (81%). I answered 53. I missed some easy questions and should have gotten a few more points, but it's whatever now. Anyway, the score should be more than good enough since I'm domestic and not going for pure math.

I also scored 850, 88%. As a finance major, I think that's okay, though not that good.

I'm mainly looking at applied math and stats programs.

44% :(! I did not study a day (was doing a research internship at Berkeley until the end of September, then had to defend my master thesis etc)! A lot of stuff on the test I completely forgot about! I think I am going to change the schools I am applying to, maybe the fact that I am only interested in applied math will help (fingers crossed!)

I got 830 (85% ). Will that affect my chances if I'm aiming at top 20? I'm applying to pure math programs.

I scored the same. I don't think this is a bad score at all for top 20 programs. I recall a few schools towards the bottom of the top 20 put up average scores for admitted students, and 830 was above average, and is probably considerably above average for a domestic student who hasn't done a masters. The only way I could see it being a negative is if you're international and applying to MIT/Harvard/a few others.

I am an international student though  But I'm not targeting at schools that top. I got my undergraduate education in the States from a top liberal arts college not famous for math. I wonder if they would put me in the international student pool or the domestic student pool. Sigh!

Quit crying, you little babies. Anything above 80% is perfect.

Yes! I'm STILL doing my happy dance over my 88%. I am so PROUD of myself, and no amount of crying emoticons over scores similar to mine is going to take that away from me.

I assume this is the verbal score? In this case, if you are an international it is not that bat. I am in a top tier school, and we have lots of internationals with 30% in verbal
