"Cracking the.." topics covered.

Post by ardroc » Tue Sep 24, 2013 9:00 am

Hi all,

After a brief search I couldn't find the answer to my question.

Are all the topics for the test covered in the Princeton Review book? Or there are topics on the test which are not covered in the book? And also, is any topic that comes up in the REA practice tests which is not covered by Princeton Review worth knowing for the test(like fourier series for example)?

Thanks for the help!

My experience is that the PR is a very thorough review of topics on the test, though it is full of typos and a few flat-out mathematical mistakes (this board has posts with lists of them). There may be 1, maybe even 2 at the most, questions of the test that are on topics not covered in PR (for instance, it does not review arc length in polar coordinates, cosets, or the definition of similar matrices), but no single book could cover EVERYTHING in undergraduate mathematics. Except for the mistakes, which actually can serve as good tests to see if you really know your stuff, I give this book 2 thumbs up. Best few bucks you can spend to prepare for the test.
