The reviews for the book say the exams are way too hard or not the right material, but I see posts and talked to people that say the real exam was harder than the ETS exam (9768) and Princeton review exam, so isn't harder practice exams good?

Yes. Harder is generally better. The main complaints I've heard of the REA book is not that the questions are too hard, but that they are not reflective of the actual test. Obviously, solving the problems in the book will make you a better problem solver, but will not teach you the tricks necessary to do well on the actual GRE. Some of the questions also feature topics that aren't even on the GRE syllabus and are never on the test. Princeton review might be a bit too easy, but its review and test contain tons of tricks and you're bound to see questions just like them. The actual tests are by far the most important to work on because they are a perfect representation of the test and the ETS likes to repeat questions (sometimes word for word).

Hey Folks

I don't think the tests in this book are harder than the real exams. Basically, the tests just only focus on calculation stuffs and the theoretical questions are really basis. But any way, it it a good book for preparing for the real exams

Wish you guys success on the GRE Maths tests.

Well, as for me, I'd love to think that these things in the rea book are unlike the gre test. I'm not sure as I've yet to see the real thing...but they are brutalizing and seem to be geared toward destroying my will towards mathematics rather than learning me some...

does anyone know of a simply massive set questions stolen from gre's of the past that one might stare at an answer one by one so as to hope that one may learn and get better?
