Based on a short email exchange with somebody at Cornell, my impression was that the Graduate Admissions committee has already made decisions. However, they have yet to announce those decisions.

For anyone looking at WUSTL, I emailed their secretary about my chances and was told they had "over 100 applicants for a very limited number of open spots".

He said that they had made the decisions, he did not say anything about sending them out.

I saw one post on the Gradcafe about University of Minnesota, Mathematics and one about University of Toronto, Mathematics. Any body has any idea? And most importantly, is there any notion about admissions to the University of British Columbia, Mathematics?

Yes. He wrote I was "very unlikely to receive an offer" from them.

Has anyone received any clarity about what Berkeley and UCLA are up to? I see a few fresh rejections from UCLA on the Grad Cafe, and acceptances from Berkeley.

I've gotten an informal acceptance from prospective advisor(s) from UBC (pure math), although nothing formal yet.

Trying to be patient is the worst! I have my fingers crossed with regard to UIUC, as well. I know they have sent out a few acceptances (and, according to one of the profiles here, even a rejection :( ). It would seem they are poised to make a move soon. I hope there is room for both of us!

I really hope so ...
but the rejection was basically just a response to an inquiry so they haven't started ...
they sent out a few but the big chunk has yet to come ...
Hope they have good news for all of us and we can finally relax a little bit ...

Did anyone get admit call from Florida State University? It is probably too early because their deadline was 1st Feb.
But still, logic takes a dump when we are waiting for the application results :(

Why don't Maryland AMSC and Cornell CAM just send out their rejections? Maryland sent their request for further information a week back. Surely those who have not received the request for the "second round" are rejected. And Cornell CAM has sent out all the admits they planned to almost a week ago. More schools really need to learn to keep a few applicants on a wait-list and send out rejections for the rest. Why do they want to make us wait?

On another note, two big days coming up, especially for the applied folk. Princeton PACM and Brown DAM are expected to reply before the weekend.

When I enquired with UIUC and UBC, I was told that decisions would be made "later next week" for UIUC, and UBC would be making offers "the week of the 18th of Feb"

(I'm sure this means official offers since some people have already received unofficial offers from UIUC and UBC).

Both responses were from the coordinator/director of the graduate program.

No concrete basis. Just by looking at thegradcafe results of the previous years, they have usually(with the exception of 2010) started sending out admits in the first two weeks of Feb.

Now we can make our own tennis subforum on this site. Discussing tennis sure beats the "I-didn't-hear-back-did-you-hear-back?" discussion that covers most of this thread.

Hello. Can anyone say something about the recent posts about Purdue University on the Gradcafe?

There are a couple of rejections today and many offers were made from Jan 29 to Feb 8.

Will these mean they are done making offers? If one of you has contacted them, please share the replies.
